28th Annual Pancake Breakfast a Sweet Success

Our 28th Annual Pancake Breakfast was a solid, sweet success. We’re still beaming from having seen so many friendly faces in the community come by for a good cause—and a hearty breakfast.

We had 3,652 wonderful people share a breakfast with us, and donate to our current charity.

This year, we raised funds for Saskatoon’s Prairie Hospice Society—a non-profit community organization committed to enhancing the quality of life for those facing advancing illness, death, and bereavement. They ensure access to quality end-of-life support in Saskatoon.

“A huge thank you to all the Great Western Staff,” said Sheila Morgan, from Prairie Hospice Society. “Everyone was so friendly and supportive. You have made such a difference for our organization and the citizens of Saskatoon.”

Through our community’s support, and a bighearted additional $10,000 matched contribution from our partners at Nutrien, this year’s pancake breakfast raised $36,957—just over $10,000 more than last year’s grand total!

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our GW team members who worked the event and to everyone who supported, as well as a special thank-you to our partners in this event: Nutrien, Maple Leaf Foods, Van Houtte, and P & H Milling Group.
