As Sweet as Syrup

Our bellies have been filled, and the sausage hangover has finally worn off. Great Western and our friends at Hands On Outreach & Development Centre are smiling ear to ear from the amazing turnout at our 26th Annual Pancake Breakfast for Charity.

“We can’t thank our community enough,” said President & CEO, Michael Micovcin. “This event is our favourite opportunity to meet people and, most importantly, give back.”

The pancake breakfast saw outstanding attendance and a number of large donations, which means record money raised for the charity of choice – Hands On Outreach, located in Saskatoon.

“This was such a successful event and a great opportunity for us,” explained Founder & CEO of Hands On, Rick Langlais.

Through the help of the community and with a generous $20,000 matched contribution from Potash Corp. Saskatchewan, the pancake breakfast raised $53,033.75, shattering last year’s record by nearly $20,000!

The donation will directly and positively impact the vulnerable youth who turn to Hands On Outreach for support. “These funds will be vital to our operation, this summer and beyond. Thank you,” said Langlais.
